Our Programs
Little Dove Learning Center offers comprehensive programs for children ranging from 8 weeks old to 11 years of age. Our nurturing infant and toddler care lays a strong foundation during the earliest stages of development, while our preschool and pre-K programs focus on school readiness through age-appropriate learning and play. For school-aged children, we provide a safe and engaging after-school program that supports continued growth and enrichment. Infants - 6 Weeks to 12 Months
Our program emphasizes supportive, nurturing, and positive interactions between adults and your child. We create strong bonds through singing, storytelling, talking, rocking, playing, and engaging with your baby throughout the day. Our trained staff provides attentive care to ensure smooth transitions during feeding, diapering, naptime, and activity periods. Infants and young children are encouraged to explore age-appropriate toys and materials that support the development of fine and gross motor skills, as well as overall growth in all developmental areas. Families receive a daily report to keep them informed about their child’s day.

Our programs are built on the understanding that play is the foundation of early learning. At Little Dove, we embrace this philosophy by incorporating our framework into our daily routines and activities, ensuring that each child is actively engaged in meaningful, play-based learning experiences.

Toddlers - 12 to 24 Months
Toddlers are naturally active, curious, and eager to explore the world around them. At Little Dove Learning Center, we engage toddlers in age-appropriate activities designed to support language development and overall growth. Children will enjoy hands-on experiences with manipulative toys, games, painting, pasting, singing, dancing, and both indoor and outdoor play. Potty training and self-help skills are gently encouraged as part of our daily routine, promoting independence and self-discipline. To keep families informed and involved, a daily report detailing your child’s activities, meals, and progress will be provided at the end of each day.
3-Year Olds
As children grow, their curiosity and creativity continue to flourish. At Little Dove Learning Center, we nurture this growth through engaging, hands-on activities that include dramatic play, building with blocks, solving simple puzzles, and exploring early academic concepts. Children are introduced to pre-writing skills, letters, numbers, colors, and picture/object recognition in fun and meaningful ways. Our program is designed to foster independence, self-reliance, self-direction, and confidence, helping each child build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

4-Year Olds
This is the age of invention, problem-solving, imagination, and discovery. At Little Dove Learning Center, we recognize that children learn best when they are encouraged to explore in their own unique way. Our daily lessons are designed to support choice, creativity, and hands-on learning, allowing children to grow and develop at their own pace. Activities include creative crafts, drawing, painting, coloring, writing, storytelling, building with blocks, solving puzzles, and learning basic organizational skills. Children are also introduced to age-appropriate math, language, and science concepts—such as counting objects, practicing writing their names and numbers, exploring nature, learning about plants, animals, and birds, and engaging in simple science experiments. Through these experiences, we aim to ignite curiosity and build a solid foundation for future learning.
After School Program
Little Dove Learning Center offers an after-school program from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for children ages 5 to 11. This program provides a safe, supportive environment where children can continue learning and growing after the school day ends.

Our after-school program includes homework assistance, creative projects, games, and opportunities for social interaction and enrichment. We strive to create a calm and structured space where children can unwind, explore their interests, and build confidence.

Please contact us to inquire about school pick-up options—we’re happy to discuss arrangements for your child’s transportation and participation.

Outdoor Learning
Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine. Weather permitting, children will play outside every morning and afternoon—typically for about 45 minutes during the spring, fall, and winter, and summer activities during the hotter season. We do not go outside in extreme weather conditions for safety reasons. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor activities, including proper footwear for active play.

Outdoor activities may include sand and water play, riding cars, trucks, and tricycles, nature walks, picnics, sidewalk chalk, outdoor painting, and splash time during the summer months. These experiences support physical development, creativity, and a love for the outdoors.
Indoor Activities
Our daily activities are guided by children’s interests and thoughtfully facilitated by our teachers to support learning and development in a meaningful way.

Greeting Time: The day begins with songs, rhymes, and chants that help children review the day’s schedule and explore foundational concepts such as letter links, shapes, colors, and more.
Work Time: Children choose from a variety of interest areas—including art, dramatic play (house), toys, blocks, books/puppets, and writing—allowing them to learn through play, creativity, and hands-on exploration.
Snack Time: This is a social experience where children enjoy a healthy snack while engaging in conversations with their peers and teacher, fostering communication and community.
Outside Time: Outdoor play gives children the opportunity to develop gross motor skills, enjoy fresh air, and engage in cooperative games and free exploration.
Small Group Time: In small group settings, children explore, manipulate objects, and create projects based on their interests and developmental needs. These activities are often child-initiated and encourage critical thinking and creativity.
Large Group Time: Children come together for storytime, music, and movement activities that build language, rhythm, coordination, and teamwork. These moments strengthen classroom community while promoting large motor development.

Our balanced schedule supports each child’s individual growth through play, structure, and discovery.
